Fence to Fence Environmental Services - Eglin Air Force Base

LRS Federal implemented a multi-year, environmental compliance support contract for Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), Florida. Eglin covers more than 460,000 acres as well as several training ranges in the Gulf of Mexico. Eglin is host to a large, multi-service contingent of operations that involve military training, aircraft maintenance activities, and operational units. The contract action involved a base year plus four option years to provide a full range of environmental compliance support under the Air Force “fence-to-fence” concept of operation. Compliance programs which LRS was responsible for across the installation were hazardous waste, hazardous materials, stormwater management, NEPA, natural/cultural resources, and air quality. Our services included operational support, plans and permits, performance of multi-media compliance evaluations, compliance assistance, and database management.

The Eglin Environmental Department was awarded the 2016 Department of Defense Environmental Quality Individual/Team Award for outstanding environmental programs. LRS is proud to have been a part of this team.
